National Awards for Science & Technology Achievements (NASTA) “The National awards for Science and Technology Achievements” was held on the 19th of December 2018, at the Presidential Secretariat, Colombo, Sri Lanka. President Maithripala Sirisena was the chief guest of the event. Prof. Athula Sumathipala received the award for “Individual outstanding leadership in promoting and developing science and  technology”. The Institute for Research & Development in Health & Social Care received the award for “Excellence in international collaboration for advancement of science and technology”.
